The 2026 St. Herman Calendar is dedicated to the history of the Orthodox Faith in Syria.

The lead article provides an overview of the history of Syria from an Orthodox perspective, beginning with pagan pre-Christian times, through New Testament times, the martyric era, the flowering of monasticism, the Muslim yoke, and finally to the challenges facing the Orthodox Church of Syria today. Also included in the 2026 Calendar are brief biographies of some of the great saints who adorned Syria throughout its history.
